Practical Classroom Exercise One
Directions: Students will be divided into groups of three. Each student will play the role of a CIA analyst, FBI analyst, and a representative from the Office of Homeland Security. Each student will have to pool their resources and provide a report from all of the available evidence concerning the events that had unfolded at LAX on Thursday, July 4, 2002. Students are encouraged to use the news items found on the Cybrary, Online News Articles, LAX Map, and NTSB Transcript of EgyptAir Flight 990. Your final report will be given in class, just as if you were making a final report to Tom Ridge. Was it terrorism? Was it a hate crime? Or was it just a lone gunman committing a random act of violence? It is your job to find the answers. |
